Throughout the course of more than half a century, System Logistics has built a strong foundation of technology and experience in automated warehouses and material handling systems:

  • 1940 - 1949

    • 1946 - Company founded as Lewiston Machine

  • 1950 - 1959

    • 1958 - Lewiston Machine merges with Diamond Machine

  • 1960 - 1969

    • 1960 - First work transporter conveyor system is developed and installed to speed and direct workflow (now over 4,000 installations worldwide)

      1961 - Specialty production machines and conveying systems introduced for manufacturing applications

      1964 - Ergonomic "lowerator" devices and vertical lifts introduced

      1966 - First sequences for work-in-process (WIP) automation, routing and repetitive assembly applications produced

  • 1970 - 1979

    • 1975 - First high density vertical storage systems installed

      1979 - Horizontal carousel systems introduced for manufacturing and distribution

  • 1980 - 1989

    • 1980 - Diamond Data Systems incorporated to develop in-house material handling software solutions

      1980 - In-house software introduced for work-in-process (WIP) applications

      1981 - First work-in-process (WIP) closed loop transporters and integrated software introduced to market

      1985 - CIMPL Series inventory control software introduced

      1987 - First pick-to-light system installed

      1989 - Class Software version 1.0 introduced for high speed order picking systems

  • 1990 - 1999

    • 1992 - Class Software expanded to control horizontal carousel cross dock and sortation systems

      1993 - Carousel storage and retrieval system (CS/RS) software product installed in first site

      1994 - Automatic extractor introduced

      1998 - Company acquired by industry leaders Thomas Coyne and Edward Larry Strayhorn

      1999 - New facility opens in December, tripling production space

      Software and Controls office opens in Grand Rapids, MI

  • 2000 - 2009

    • 2000 - CASI Technologies acquired

      2001 - Innovative pick-to-light system introduced

      2003 - Pick cart for batch picking and putting introduced

      Multi-bay vertical lift module introduced

      2004 - Vertical carousel introduced

      2005 - Revolutionary warehouse execution system software introduced

      2005 - Voice picking system introduced

      2005 - Heavy-duty vertical carousel and vertical lift module introduced

      2005 - Unit load stacker crane introduced

      2005 - Pallet conveyor systems introduced

      2006 - EXACTPick™ horizontal carousel solution introduced for the apparel industry

      2008 - Mini load stacker crane introduced

      2009 - Diamond Phoenix merges with System Logistics S.p.A.

      2009 - Automated case order picking system (MOPS) for the beverage industry introduced

  • 2010

    • Diamond Phoenix becomes System Logistics Corporation

      System Logistics Corporation launches comprehensive program for the USA beverage industry
